What is in the studio?
The studio is not just a shop and workspace. It is also an art gallery and research space. There is an international collection of textiles and artworks to look at as well as a reference library of textile and design books. In an adjoining room there is a textile collection for researchers to use.
Where is the studio?
The studio is housed next door to the Regent Theatre, in the same building, along Mackay Street in Māwhera Greymouth. It is at the other end of the street from the railway station, an easy stroll through town.

What time is the studio open and how much does it cost to come in?
The textile studio is open 11am to 3pm weekdays, and by appointment.
Entry and use of the research materials (library and collection) is free although koha (donations) are welcome.
